SpinVox Sets Price for Voicemail-to-Text Service

SpinVox (News - Alert), provider of Voice-to-Screen messaging, has unveiled details of new unlimited usage pricing for its voicemail-to-text service marketed through its partnership with Cincinnati Bell (News - Alert) Wireless. Under the pricing, an unlimited number of voice-to-text conversions now cost just $5.99 per month.

"Just months into our relationship with Cincinnati Bell they believe that SpinVox is a truly cross-base service and have priced the feature for mass adoption," said Christina Domecq (News - Alert), CEO and co-founder of SpinVox. "Our research has indicated that unlimited plans at this very competitive price point will mean that SpinVox meets the purchase triggers so many more people will enjoy the benefits of receiving voicemails as SMS texts."

A month before, SpinVox received $100 million in funding via Goldman Sachs, bringing total investment in the company to more than $200 million and valuing it at more than half a billion dollars.

SpinVox has decided to launch the voicemail-to-text service as their research indicates customers loathe dialing into their voicemail, having to listen and then searching for a pen and paper to write down details. "Whether you are an attorney seeking to discretely view your voicemails in court or a soccer mom with no time for voicemail navigation and taking notes, at $5.99 per month for unlimited conversions the price fits any budget," said Domecq.

SpinVox has combined the two most popular methods of communication - voice and text - and created a new category of messaging called Voice-to-Screen. Its service has made everyday communication simpler and more powerful, creating new recurring revenues for wireless, landline, cable and VOIP carriers as well as service providers and web partners.
