JSR Technology to Distribute Avistar C3

San Mateo, Calif.-based provider of unified visual communications solutions Avistar Communications Corp. has announced that its acclaimed software solutions platform, Avistar (News - Alert) C3, will be distributed by Northern Ireland-based JSR Technology. JSR Technology deals in computer networks, telephone systems, videoconferencing, and other services.

Avistar's C3 (News - Alert) Desktop Videoconferencing and Collaboration solution won a 2008 INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award presented by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.

Earlier this month, TMCnet reported that Avistar has released new editions of Avistar C3 software for both Microsoft (News - Alert) and Citrix platforms the Avistar C3 Microsoft OCS Edition, and the Avistar C3 Integrator, Citrix Edition, solutions.  JSR Technology has already teamed up with resellers to deploy Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) and Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp thin client platforms.

“The Avistar C3 platform and its latest products provide significant productivity and value to JSR’s resellers and clients alike. We expect that Avistar will become one of JSR’s leading solutions in the next 12 months,” said Jason Rosborough, director, JSR Technology, in a release.

“We have benefited immensely from guidance and practical support from Invest NI’s North West Regional Office in Derry for the development of the business, particularly in markets outside Northern Ireland, and we believe that the Avistar product range is an important catalyst in increasing cross-border trade in Ireland and further afield,” Rosborough added.

Avistar boasts more than 18,000 desktop videoconferencing and collaboration installations in more than 40 countries. The solution has led to almost 20 percent reduction in travel expense and carbon emissions, not to mention enhancement in productivity and employee relations.

Avistar has also announced that ESCO Audio Visual will be the sole distributor of Avistar C3 desktop videoconferencing in Malaysia, India, Indonesia and Philippines and will act as a reseller in Singapore and Hong Kong.
