Mobile UC Market Landscape
To say the world mobile unified communications is progressing rapidly is an understatement - the launch of new UC applications that improve the productivity and security of mobile workers is happening so fast that many businesses are having a hard time keeping up with the expanding market.
To help businesses get up to speed on all the latest happening in UC, a session on Thursday morning at ITEXPO West, “Mobile UC Market Landscape,” will include a slew of industry experts to discuss the latest features for third-party systems, the best UC applications that are going mobile, and the availability of these hot applications from an array of vendors targeting different markets.
Attendees will also walk away with the right questions to ask mobile UC-application vendors – before making a big investment.
“I’m going to be talking about mobilizing one of the most important business applications – and that is the company desk phone,” panelist Vivek Khuller, president and CEO of DiVitas Networks, told TMC CEO Rich Tehrani in a pre-ITEXPO (News - Alert) interview. “Just as RIM mobilized corporate e-mail onto a mobile handset, DiVitas is looking to mobilize the corporate desk phone onto a smartphone.”
At the 45-minute session, which begins at 9:30 a.m., Khuller will be joined by panelists Kevin Woods, Avaya’s (News - Alert) director of product management, unified communications; Peter Brockmann, president of Brockmann & Company and Andrew Silver, CTO and co-founder of Tango Networks (News - Alert).
For more in-depth coverage of mobile-based UC applications and dual-mode handsets, check out Khuller’s panel “Mobile UC Strategies for the Enterprise” at 1 p.m.
