Zultys Strengthens Position in UC Market with MX Software 4.2
Zultys, a manufacturer of Voice-over-IP (VoIP) equipment for Small to Medium sized Businesses recently announced its MX Software Version 4.2, the latest software release for the MX family.
Available since 12-22-08, V4.2 includes a number of features and were added based on the company's feedback from valued global reseller partners and end customers. MX Software Version 4.2 includes the launch of MXmeeting, Zultys' (News - Alert) web conferencing and collaboration solution, which offers a unique combination of voice, desktop Web interaction, instant messaging, virtual meeting rooms, online presentations, training and demo’s all with easy to use controls.
MXmeeting helps users to connect with other participants wherever the Internet reaches. Through one simple click from their MXIE, users can host or participate in a Web conference with colleagues or customers around the globe.
The Zultys Media EXchange Interface for End Users (MXIE) is instead, a desktop tool that enables multimedia communications for all workers in a small office.
Built on Zultys’ premier IP-PBX (News - Alert) portfolio, MXmeeting allows companies to provide Web conferencing, Remote PC Support, Remote PC Access, and Web seminars with an integrated audio conferencing service.
Zultys also recently announced ZIP 5-series handset integration with MXIE. The company explains that when bound to a Zultys ZIP 5-series phone, users may answer, hold and retrieve calls directly from MXIE without using the phone.
Also, MXIE users can seamlessly switch between multiple calls from their MXIE call control window and the enhanced MXIE integration is also supported for Polycom IP phone deployments.
The latest version includes a Fax Driver for Apple (News - Alert) Mac OS X that allows Mac users to print a document to the MX fax service, enabling desktop outbound faxing. MX also supports decoding of Caller Name information if provided as part of Caller ID service on FXO trunks, which gives the user the ability to answer incoming calls appropriately and professionally.
Zultys recognized that some users need multiple roles of MXIE to be displayed simultaneously, such as call center agents or group supervisors. The new release provides expanded scrolling and sizing capabilities for the MXIE screen so that all role sessions can be easily accessed and viewed, without altering the resolution of the user’s monitor screen.
Currently available for all MX30 and MX250 systems, Version 4.2 may be downloaded from the Zultys Resource Center and may be applied free of charge to systems covered by a current extended warranty or software subscription.
