Beyondis to Offer Desktop Videoconferencing Technology From Avistar
VoIP and Videoconferencing products provider Beyondis, has announced it will now offer its U.K. resellers patent protected C3 (News - Alert) desktop technology from Avistar Communications Corporation.
Beyondis resellers will in turn leverage the technology to offer a wider product range to their customers, who have expressed interest in videoconferencing as a means to boost communications.
Darren Innes, General Manager, Worldwide Sales, Avistar (News - Alert), said, "Avistar desktop videoconferencing increases the 'stickiness' that resellers want in their relationship with customers. It expands their ability to meet their customers' needs, and it offers a whole new product area that is proven, cost-effective and easy to use. They'll quickly find that it will help them in existing customer installations as well as open new doors for them.”
Reading, U.K.-based Beyondis offers a partner program that delivers sales leads, pre/post sales support, telesales and Web events, technical expertise, training and more. In addition to Avistar, Beyondis also acts as a distributor for Sony, LifeSize (News - Alert) and Lightspeed.
Andy Aikman, Technical Director, Beyondis commented, "Working with Avistar is a logical extension of what we do and complements our product line. More and more, customers want the convenience of videoconferencing without having to schedule a room. With Avistar, they can have videoconferencing from their home, desktop or hotel room -- essentially anywhere they have their laptop. We expect that Avistar desktop videoconferencing will be a product initially ordered by management, and then as they use it, they'll want to see it accepted as a company-wide communications tool. We are thrilled to have Avistar help us move our customers in that direction."
A single-click desktop videoconferencing and collaboration solution, Avistar C3 is available both as a stand-alone solution, or integrated with existing unified communications software from other vendors. It comes with instant messaging-style ability to initiate video communications.
Avistar boasts more than 18,000 desktop videoconferencing and collaboration installations in more than 40 countries. The solution has led to almost 20 percent reduction in travel expense and carbon emissions, not to mention enhancement in productivity and employee relations.
