IPsoft Recognized as Cisco Managed Services Channel Partner

IPsoft announced its recognition as a Cisco (News - Alert) Managed Services Channel Partner. In addition, the company has achieved Cisco Powered designations in Managed Unified Communications, Managed Security, Strategic Managed Services and Legacy Managed Services.

The combination of these designations provide IPsoft with much deserved accolades for having worked to acquire the resources and establish the procedures to deploy, manage and support Cisco managed services.

Chetan Dube, President and CEO of IPsoft, remarked in a Tuesday statement: "IPsoft is proud to be designated as a Cisco Powered managed services provider and as a Managed Services Channel Partner (News - Alert). Our commitment to excellence in service delivery and service support is recognized by our customers and partners today, and it is very gratifying to have this validated by Cisco's assessment of our methods, tools and practices."

"The managed services industry is on the cusp of a shift from classical labor arbitrage models to more autonomically enabled delivery models; partnering with Cisco, the industry standard in network technologies, is a critical step for IPsoft in continuing to lead this transformation," Dube said.

"Adopting managed services allows companies to align IT and business goals, enabling them to focus scarce internal resources on their core competencies while servicing day-to-day IT infrastructure and operational needs through technology delivered as a service," said Jeff Spagnola, vice president of worldwide service provider marketing at Cisco, in Tuesday’s statement. "As a Cisco Managed Services Channel Partner with Cisco Powered designations, IPsoft has made an investment in obtaining the training, skills and knowledge necessary to play a pivotal role in meeting this increasing demand."

Cisco designs its Powered Managed Unified Communications (News - Alert) business communications service to deliver unified voice, video, data and mobility communications for the business environment. The service provides the integration of voice, video and other collaborative data applications into intelligent network communications solutions.

With the Cisco Powered Managed Security firewall service, customers can protect their business infrastructure. Managed from a security operations center, the service supports key features available on the Cisco firewall solutions, including network bandwidth optimization and anti-IP address spoofing. It also conforms to Cisco and industry best practices.

This recognition for IPsoft not only demonstrates to the industry that it provides robust solutions that can meet a customers most challenging needs, it also proves that the company’s solutions have met and surpassed the requirements of stringent tests and network operations assessments.

IPsoft will now be able to capitalize on this recognition, building on the strength of the Cisco brand as it extends its reach in the global market, taking advantage of the expanding opportunities throughout the world.

Cisco Powered Managed Service designation requirements are based on the Information Technology Infrastructure Library framework of best practices in addition to market and industry requirements.

To determine its recognition, IPsoft participated in an assessment of its network operation center as a part of the Managed Service Channel Program process.
