CyberData Announces First Shipment of VoIP Intercom
CyberData (News - Alert) Corporation, a supplier of Application Specific Endpoints for SIP
and Unified Communication platforms, has announced the shipment of its two-way communications device, the VoIP Intercom.
The SIP-enabled VoIP Intercom is a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE 802.3af) and Voice-over-IP
(VoIP) door entry device that connects into existing local area networks (LANs) with a single cable connection.
The intercom is compatible with most SIP-based IP PBX
servers that comply with the SIP RFC, and its tamper-proof design allows the unit to be mounted securely and safely, according to the company.
Company officials explained that it operates as a SIP-based door entry system with DTMF access control, or as an emergency phone with mass notification capabilities.
Phillip Lembo, President of CyberData Corporation, pointed out that the VoIP
Intercom allows for a cost effective access control or emergency notification, utilizing existing local area networks, adding, “While saving installers and end users time and resources due to its ease of installation.”
Founded in 1974 in Monterey, California, CyberData is a vertically integrated design and manufacturing company. The company produces peripheral devices for VoIP phone systems that facilitate legacy migration to VoIP, IP equivalents to existing analog devices, and provide Application Specific Endpoints that add new functionality.
Company notes, “our VoIP products, such as Paging Gateways, IP Speakers, IP authentication devices and the VoIP Intercom, are cost-effective and easy to manage solutions for VoIP phone systems.”
The VoIP Intercom can be purchased from a number of distributors and online resellers.
