Charles Industries Announces Hiring of LaMarr Swann as National Account Manager to Verizon
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. --(Business Wire)-- Charles Industries, Ltd., a diversified manufacturer of telecom, marine and industrial products, today announced that LaMarr Swann has joined the company's Telecom Sales Team in the capacity of National Account Manager to Verizon Communications Inc. In this role, Swann will lead Charles' Verizon Sales Team by bringing his knowledge, industry expertise, account management skills, and business development relationships to support and grow the Verizon relationship in its nationwide footprint.
Swann brings to Charles more than twenty-five years of experience in the telecommunications industry from major companies including Carrier Access Corporation, Verilink, Marconi (now Emerson), and Lucent/AT&T. He has held numerous executive management positions both in sales and business development. He was instrumental in helping Verizon and its predecessors set their strategies to deliver outstanding service to their 66 million wireless and 8 million wireline customers.
Swann will be reporting to Jack Wood, Vice President of Telecom Sales for Charles. Wood sees Swann's hiring as an affirmation of Charles' commitment to customer service. "LaMarr Swann has an excellent reputation and rapport with Verizon," Wood stated. "We have full confidence in him to establish Charles as a valuable, responsive partner to Verizon for innovative outside plant and transmission solutions within its wireless and wireline networks."
Swann earned his Bachelor of Technology Degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies degree from the City College of New York. He is also a graduate of the University of Southern California's Executive Program. Swann currently resides in Ellicott City, Maryland.
